Prevent Policy
Exceed In English Ltd understands its responsibilities under the Counter Terrorism & Security Act 2015 to prevent people of all ages being radicalised or getting into terrorism. We try to meet this responsibility by giving appropriate advice and support against radicalisation and extremism.
Terminology
Radicalisation: a process of making a person adopt extreme political, social or religious ideas.
Extremism: having extreme political or religious views against core British values: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respectful tolerance of different faiths or beliefs. Other extremist views are: racism, homophobia, right–wing ideology, as well as any religious extremism.
School’s environment
Exceed In English Ltd is located in Manchester – a student city with a multicultural population. The School accepts students from many different countries.

Following a policy on accepted behaviour (Student Code of Conduct, Staff Code of Conduct, Safeguarding Policy).
-
Not tolerating radicalisation and extremism (Anti-bullying Policy, Expulsion Policy).
-
Promoting core British values, British culture and traditions (This may be part of class delivery, but students might be told about this on their first day at School as part of the induction process).
