Expulsion Policy
We might ask you to leave the School if you break the School rules or local laws, for example:
-
You do not attend your classes or are continuously late.
-
You take or drink illegal drugs or alcohol.
-
You smoke in or around the School’s premises/building.
-
You cause damage to the Homestay accommodation or the School’s premises/building.
-
You continuously misbehave.
-
You upset others, based on racial, sexual or religious differences.
-
You use unacceptable behaviour, such as: speaking in an offensive way about/to somebody, trouble or annoy somebody continually, bullying, violence (actual or threatened), or damage another person’s personal property.
-
You behave in a way that may cause radicalisation.
Before we ask you to leave we will give you a chance to improve your behaviour by:
1) We will talk to you to find out why you did not follow the rules.
2) If your behaviour does not improve, we will give you a written warning.
3) If your behaviour does not improve, you will be asked to leave the School.
4) In serious cases we will ask you to leave the School immediately (for example: proven theft).
Note: No refund will be given to the student who has been asked to leave the School because of bad attendance, bad behaviour or breaking the rules.
If you are under 18 years old, we will contact your parent(s)/guardian(s) immediately, as part of step 1 above, and tell them about the process. We will send them a letter with the details of the incident as well.
