Exceed in English Ltd
Teaching and Learning Policy

General

Our courses and teaching of English are designed to provide outstanding learning and employment opportunities globally and to offer the highest level of knowledge and expertise which will enrich the personal and professional lives of our students. We are committed to providing students with excellent courses in a warm, friendly and professional environment, as well as caring for every aspect of their stay. We understand that everyone is unique with different needs and different goals. From their first contact with us, we aim to provide individual attention in order to help them achieve their goals.

Principles

  • We develop the skills of our students in a practical, meaningful way because we know that language skills provide access to other life goals.

  • We use a variety of techniques and materials because we recognise that learners have different learning styles.

  • We foster our students’ sense of responsibility for their own language learning and guide them towards independent ways of learning because we know that independence is a key element in effective learning.

  • We explore the learning aims of our students in order to adapt our courses to help them achieve those aims

  • We provide a balance of skills and language training in order to ensure our students develop fluency and accuracy in all skills.

  • We attach importance to learning through communication and interaction with other class members in order to ensure the development of real-life communication skills.

  • We take full advantage of the class time available in order to maximise opportunities for effective learning.

  • We treat students as we would wish to be treated in order to give them the care and attention they need to get the most from our courses.

  • We ensure equality of opportunity and promote a positive attitude to diversity in our classes.
